books, baking & making photographs
this afternoon i went to Watson Library on campus, in search of a few textbooks i'll need for classes next semester. I ended up getting 5 books, two of which simply interested me and are not required readings for any classes.
i just enrolled in a gen. ed. geography class, which brings me up to 18 credit hours-making me quite nervous. i'm much more comfortable in the 15 range :] my other classes include the Politics of Reproductive Policy (with a Professor i've had the good fortune to meet and introduce myself to on 2 ocassions, so here's hoping for a good start!), Extremist Groups & Government Response, a Colonial Spanish-America literature course, Spanish Phonetics aaaand a class studying Latin American cultures, I forget the specific topic and can't seem to find its proper title anywhere..
i took sugar cookies with chocolate frosting to work the other day, everyone seemed to love them which was nice :] i made some more tonight, but have yet to make frosting for them, so if i take them to work at all it probably won't be until thursday.
james put the movie Up on tonight, it's just about over & is very cute. kind of sad though, the whole beginning is an old man losing his wife and being cranky and depressed. it is sweet by the end, though, and has a very cute little message. :]
this sunday i'm going to make photographs of a girl i work with and her fiance. i'm really excited, as i always love to have models to work with :] i drove around lawrence a bit today, looking for cool locations, and i've been doing some research on poses and such. i just hate pictures that appear to be really posed, but i want some general ideas in my head. i think they'll end up nice-i hope!
work bright and early tomorrow!

it has been so long...
...lately, i love baking.
anything and everything. a list of things, i've recently baked.
-raspberry lemonade bars (x2)
-banana cupcakes, with melted chocolate inside & peanut butter frosting
-banana cupcakes with fudge frosting
-chocolate & butterscotch chip cookies
-german chocolate cake
-sugar cookies & frosting
-lots of chocolate cake, usually with strawberry frosting
life has been pretty good. i didn't get as good of grades this semester as i did last semester. [although last semester i got a 4.0, so that's sort of hard to beat]. i haven't been taking as many pictures as i used to, i need to get to work on that.
this summer is going to be lovely-a nice break. James' mama and sister are coming in early June, Nyissa is staying with us until we go to Arizona in early July. :]
i don't really have anything to write now, i will again soon.

realizations, conclusions and pleadings.
you remind me of a friend i used to have that i took advantage of pretty awfully. i think that's why i am drawn to you, i need to feel redeemed.
even though you are very much alive, i am beginning to believe in reincarnation because of you. bits of you keep popping up in everyone i know, particularly those i care for deeply. please, i am asking you respectfully, go away.
note to self - admission of guilt is the first step to self-forgiveness.
ps. i'd like to thank "p.s. greetings" for charging $1 for a card and printing on the back that it costs $3.25, thereby giving the impression that i am less cheap than i truly am.
in conclusion, you are appreciated, more than that-you are loved.

it's a small, lovely world.
i love spending time with james.
i love that he loves his sister, and i love that he expresses it in his own way [like buying her left for dead 2 so they can play it together when it comes out]
i love having time to relax during the semester, i love it that things aren't so rushed.
